Material presented in DAISY format can provide:
More content - DAISY uses compressed digital audio which enables publishers to put more content on a CD. DAISY compilation disks from National Talking Newspapers can contain over 40 hours of audio!
Enhanced navigation - jump between categories, publications and articles at the touch of a button.
Greater flexibility - listen to DAISY publications on a stand-alone player or on a portable player whilst travelling. Alternatively use a DAISY software player and access the material through a PC.
A bookmark facility for important material so you can return to important articles.
Variable play speeds and pitch compensation to enhance the listening experience.
About a hundred titles are available via the DAISY service. However the titles won't be available individually. One of the main advantages of DAISY is that it enables us to get more audio publications onto a single CD - over 40 hours to be exact. We will be taking advantage of this by delivering multiple publications on a single disk. These DAISY compilation disks will enable us to offer far better value for subscribers - delivering more titles for less money.
There are currently five compilations available - select the appropriate link for more information about the compilation, including a full list of titles:

It should be noted, however, that due to production schedules there might be some occasions when we are unable to include an edition of a publication.
DAISY CDs are delivered free of charge to those qualifying for the Articles for the Blind concession. They are delivered in window envelopes with an address card inside. You don't have to return the disk or any of the materials - each disk is yours to keep!
