Masterminds raise £1,000

Masterminds and eggheads from across London have put their heads together to
raise a fantastic £1,000 for NTNM.

Some of the best minds in the quizzing world spent an evening brainstorming at
the London Quiz League’s annual charity event  in March. Some 18 teams and over
two hundred people, including markers& officials, took part to make the event a
great success

The winners were the Old Itonians (pictured below), a team who play in the Quiz
League of London Division One and whose home venue is at Saffron Hill.
Runners-up were Who’d Know,  and the Wooden Spoon went to Cuilliere Du Bois.

Famous people from the world of quizzing  who took part in the event included:

Kevin Ashman –BBC Egghead and Mastermind winner
Gavin Fuller – Mastermind winner and quiz setter for the Daily Telegraph
Olav Bjortomt – question setter for various TV quiz shows
David Stainer – captain of the winning team on the first series of BBC’s Only
Connect quiz
